Who's
on the SOTSA?
Shaun
B.
In addition to being the executive producer on this album, Shaun
is the president of Pinnacle Rhythms (a music production and
graphic design company based out of Baltimore, Maryland). Shaun
has been making music for over 9 years. His music has been featured
on several hit MTV programs such as Real World, Road Rules,
and Making the Band. He's been the mastermind behind this project
and dedicated the last 3 plus years of his life to seeing it
through to completion.
Dirt
(shadow of the locust)
Dirt has been in the music industry for over 10 years. He's
opened up for the likes of P.O.D, Cypress Hill, Jeru tha Damaja,
as well as numerous national recording artists. Dirt has been
on 3 national tours with P.O.D. as well as 2 national tours
of his own. He has 2 official album's released since 1998 which
have been dubbed instant classics by the underground hip-hop
culture. His fan base is international and his live performances
are legendary.
Braille
Braille is one member of the hip-hop super crew Light Headed.
He is also a member of the Syntax Records roster. He has several
projects under his belt, including 2 solo albums and at least
3 projects featuring previous and current group affiliations.
Braille is best known for his high energy performances and his
sincerity through rhymes.
Braille is indeed a unique and driven emcee.
Luke
Geraty
Luke, formerly known as Absolute1 from Sackcloth Fashion's first
album "something for everyone to hate", has since
branched off into a solo career. Luke has recently released
his EP through Syntax Records and is gearing up to release his
full length debut solo album shortly.
Wordz
Wordz's debut album "you haven't heard me yet" was
released in 2003 by Chicago based, ReServed Records, to an unsuspecting
audience which gained praise for his efforts. His debut album
solidified what those in hip-hop had known for years, his mic
skills and statements are a force to be reckoned with.
Frontlynaz
This Delaware crew is on the rise! With their high energy, precision
vocals they have captivated unsuspecting crowds and gained recognition
alike. Frontlynaz have been one of the most anticipated groups
to yet release a full length album, but is quickly gaining a
name for themselves amongst the culture.
Stu Dent
Deespece5 has been a pillar in the underground music scene since dropping their highly acclaimed "the night we called it a day" full length in 2000. Stu Dent who represented amongst the other members in the crew has always been somewhat of an enigma. His voice, although hauntingly familiar remains faceless in the industry. However, his lyrics have left behind mental pictorials through his verses that consistently send chills down your spine.
Weapons of War
Not much is known about this talented group of truth representing emcee's. However, since their conception 1998, Weapons of War has contributed to a style that is all their own. Soon they will release their first full length album in 6 years. Hip-hip fans will finally get taste of what few have ever had the chance to hear, until now.
Judah Priest
This Philly emcee has made his mark with his down right militant approach to lyricism. With no compromise, this underground emcee has represented on several releases. One of which includes his independently released full length album titled "tha darkest hour." A new project is currently underway and is due out in late 2004 or early 2005.
Sistah Dee
The same open and engaging personality you see in performances is the same Sistah Dee you meet in person. Catching many people off guard, this female emcee dropped her verse on the song "Militant Minds" as a last minute addition to an energetic and war-like anthem. Her verse, composed at the studio during the recording sessions, left no one who has heard it with their jaws in tact. I'm sure we have yet to see the last from this Baltimore Maryland native and femcee phenomenon.
